Welcome to Dublin 2017

On behalf of myself and the Irish National Committee we are honored to host the CIGRE Symposium 2017 in Dublin, Ireland.

Dublin is Ireland’s capital city. Steeped in history and buzzing with energy Dublin is a bustling city with a population of over 1.7 million  people. A modern city with a genuine cosmopolitan feel. When the symposium is over, there is a wealth of activities and culture for you to explore.

The symposium will take place in the iconic surroundings of Trinity College Dublin in the heart of the city centre. Spanning 47 acres Trinity College Dublin is well known internationally for its academic excellence. The University Campus is also home to the famous Celtic manuscript "The Book of Kells" within The Long Room Library.

The theme for this Symposium will be 'Experiencing the Future Power System....Today' and and the preliminary programme will be available in the next couple of weeks.

We look forward to welcoming you to Dublin in 2017.

Warmest Regards,

Marie Hayden,

CIGRE Irish National Committee.
